Thank you all!
I did indeed sleep well, and for long enough 😊 Even got up and did a workout - just 15 mins but a big part of it is getting into the habit so that still counts 😊
I have a full day at home with no meetings today 😊 Good job as it is already snowing, and only forecast to get worse ☃️
Struggling with work at the minute 🙄 Nothing's wrong, I'm just putting things off, and then feeling bad because I haven't done them, then getting scared to do them because it shows I've put them off 🙄😂 feel like a teenager not doing their homework! 😱 A lot of it is down to tiredness I think - the last few weeks of uncertainty has taken it out of me a bit, but really, I KNOW I'll feel better if I get things ticked off the list, and I don't have the kind of job where anyone is going to shout at me, so I just need to crack on.
I already have a prioritised list of tasks, so plan for today is to batch by project/activity (so I'm not having to context switch every five minutes) and just keep setting the timer.
And I'll be leaving the phone in the next room - ringer on loud in case of THE call, but where I can't mindlessly mess with it whenever I hit something difficult 🙄6 -
I find being in limbo land when I'm waiting for news means I 'tread water' and find it harder to be productive and just get on with things so fingers crossed you are managing to tackle some of your priority list.5

I hope you have a productive day Cheery. I'm feeling quite similar regarding work. I don't think the weather is helping, but I just can't get motivated.
Good that you know your phone is a distraction for when things get difficult and you can remove it.

Sending good insurance hunting vibes for you Cheery - I know how much you dislike the comparison sites!
I was wondering how long you would escape the snow today and it seems not long was the answer - you are just on the edge of the amber warning bit I think aren't you, so I figured you were definitely going to get some! Hopefully it won't hang around, or at least not past the point when you actually need to go anywhere!
You're so right about getting into habits being part of the battle - I think that's where I'm winning with the yoga, I think I'm now at about a 10 day unbroken run of doing it, and I'm at the point of actively looking forward to doing it as well, and once you hit that point it's almost harder to not do the thing isn't it...🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Yep, it's nice when you have an unbroken habit! I find it hard NOT to get breakfast and lunch ready the night before an office day these days.
And yes, definitely plenty of snow here. We're above 350m above sea level too, so we usually get some even when nearby lower places don't. It's been coming down all morning and is looking nicely pretty now. Local forecast (usually very accurate) says 20cm this afternoon. Probably windy later too which is always a pain - they clear the roads then it blows back in big drifts through the field gates 😂 But we don't have anywhere we MUST be til Monday, and we have plenty of loo roll and milk (and bread and cheese if the power goes off 🙄) so we should be ok!5 -
Here's a nice snowy picture out of the kitchen window 😊

Ooh, that is quite a bit of snow Cheery! I'm glad to hear you have the essential supplies in - hope you won't need to only eat bread and cheese though. Do you have a camping stove?Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Fortunately nothing other than a bit of light flickering so far, and the snow has eased up quite a bit now.7 -
