Wow, so much work and planning - I love the planning in particular, I'm not so keen on the work 🤣 and what a lovely thing to get bundled off for a nap.
My loft insulation seems to be pretty good, though its disappeared around the loft hatch - but it must be full of rat droppings 😥 as I've had two infestations, from the nature reserve. Yuck. I love the idea of starting out with clean insulation, and the whole house gradually warming up.2023: the year I get to buy a car4 -
Hope the nap helps.
NB, if you can find the local search and check out the section in building regs that's where any compliance certificate issued for cavity wall insulation would be. It won't tell you where it is and the lack of a certificate registered doesn't mean there's no insulation. Not particularly helpful but there you go5 -
Thanks peb 😊
Well, I have been asleep, and feel a little less grumpy (although slightly annoyed that it was sunny when I went to sleep, and now it's not - and also I was promised a cup of tea in bed 2 hours after I came up here - where is that?? 🤔😂)
Given up waiting for tea, and we'll be needing to go out in about an hour and a half, so I'm going to get up and eat something 🙄
Definitely having a day of gentle pottering tomorrow, I'd really like to get SOMETHING done this weekend, even if it's only some flute playing and this HMRC paperwork 🙄7 -

Logged into Mr Cheery's pension account - it gives start and end dates of employment, and entry into pension scheme (with previous employer, same pension scheme though), and years of service. Slightly more years of service in pension than with last employer, but not quite enough to cover both employers I don't think 🤔
So now need to log back in to check national insurance record to see which years would correlate with what, and then take it from there...

Evening!
Another late one here. Musician's wife is not an early morning job 😂 Punk band tonight, in a social club somewhere I'd never heard of over an hour away. Surprisingly busy - there were at least 70 people there 😱 all very enthusiastic too. A very big contrast to last night's smallish and quiet folk club 😂
Anyway I did my Roadie Girlfriend duties, caring heavy things and driving and fetching drinks 😂 Arranged to stay over for next week's gig to avoid late night travel. Mr cheery ended up driving the last half hour - I was getting quite tired, and in fact once he was driving i fell asleep within 2 mins and slept till we got home.
We'd left the mouse trap out, and of course had caught one when we got back. Unfortunately we'd just driven past the mouse lay-by and there was a camper van parked there, still with the lights on😂 I've sneaked in and released a mouse when there's been a dark sleepy camper before but not when there's a risk of having to explain myself 😂😂 so we released it into an outbuilding and fully accept that we may end up having to catch and release that one again 🙄😂
And now I'm in bed, and I fully plan to stay here until I'm very ready to get up and I will NOT make a list for tomorrow (not now, anyway 😂😂)6 -

DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
