Shall we check out the massive, over-enthusiastic list?!
MORNING
* workout
* breakfast and quick wipe round kitchen & put dishes away
* shower and dressed
* washing on
* get dehumidifier into the car
* job form
* hang washing outside - and a second bonus lot of washing too!
AFTERNOON
* make something wholesome for dinner - and make couple of extra portions for freezer - er, just had granola, but it was home made
* meal plan while eating
* job form - another 5 mins on each section, and print for Mr Cheery to have a look at
* flute practice - probably at least an hour
* make some snack bar things for work snacks (literally just blending a cheap bag of fruit & nuts, and mixing with a bar of dark chocolate melted in the microwave)
* bring washing in - and hung the second lot on airer/radiators as it was all denim and wasn't quite dry
* band practice - I'll be out 4pm til 7.30.
EVENING
* move dehumidifier into spare room - no, it's still in with the extra washing
* make tea including extra portion for freezer - used up bread/cheese/salad from yesterday's lunch with friends
* make breakfast and dinner for tomorrow (working at home)
* 15 min declutter
* washing away (including last lot which is still in my study)
* clothes ready for tomorrow
I reckon that's not too bad!! Did an extra lot of washing. Didn't manage flute practice - but we were playing for over 2 hours at the rehearsal anyway. Didn't do any batch cooking - going to wang soup in the hay box in the morning. Will make a smoothie now so I can cross off breakfast. Haven't put any washing away, but most of it is still on the airer anyway. Will have to shift it before a zoom meeting at 1 tomorrow anyway.
Went to do a blog post for September, and realised I'm even further behind than I thought - I've only got photos from the first week uploaded to the laptop! Gah!
Tired now.
Working at home tomorrow, thankfully. Need to finish on time - I have offered my driving services in the evening, and whether or not that happens, I'll be spending the evening working on the job form. Put on my brave pants and asked someone for a reference today (she's done one for me before).
I'd like a full draft of the job form ready by the end of tomorrow - I'm willing to swap days off round this week to get it done (it's due Thursday, but I'm off Friday, so I can potentially swap, and could also take a holiday if necessary, but next week is stupidly busy, so I'm going to try and confine job form to evenings).
Oh! And I got one of those £5 off £15 vouchers which expired today - and I actually managed to use it this time! Took me forever to find things that I would have bought anyway, that were both sold and shipped by them, and that didn't attract extra postage costs. Ended up buying a giant tub of bicarbwhich I've been looking for locally for months anyway, plus a goal planner book I've had every year for the last 5 years, and hadn't bought for 2024 yet, plus a paperback I've had my eye on for months, which had been reduced. So £26 spent, but I would have spent £20 on the planner anyway nearer the end of the year, so not too bad.
Right, best get my act together for bed!

Good shopping to make use of the voucher - I tried all the various offers and one of them worked for me - probably i fairness because I had used them all before!
I think I did your share of the batch cooking yesterday - sorry about that!
The bicarb in the car is a good tip - mine's got a bit of a whiffy smell at the moment - not even sure why, I think MrEH managed to tread some dog poo into one of the mats ages ago and the smell just will not shift, might well try the bicarb approach and see if that does the trick.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I had the £5 off £15 too and spent ages struggling to find anything that fit the criteria before giving up. Then yesterday I sat down to buy a few Christmas bits and right at the end it took the money off as one of the gifts qualified, so I didn't need to spend all that time faffing around in the first place!"You won't bloom until you're planted" - Graffiti spotted in Newcastle.

I found this website...
https://www.onlyamazingseller.com/uk
I know nothing about it, but it seems to search for only stuff sold & shipped by them. Perfect. Only works for that exact search though - as soon as you change filters or click on something else all bets are off 🙄😂
I too found that the third thing I found would actually have qualified by itself 😂 but then it wouldn't have qualified for free delivery. All the messing about made me feel better about missing out last time though 😂5 -
Evening chums 😊
Overall a positive day today, although another long one 🙄 got lots of annoying little jobs ticked off at work. Lovely old boss said she'd be delighted to give a reference for new job, which is great - means I don't have to have two from current employer (which is fine - I have 2 people who would do it, but it looks better to have different places for this I think).
Drove Mr Cheery to his band practice. Over 2 hours of driving I could probably have done without but he's still a bit wobbly and if he'd got over there and not felt able to come back, it would have been more of a fiasco to deal with than just going with him.
Normally there's a quiet room I can sit in, but today it was EXTREMELY LOUD 🙄 Still, I did have a monthly goals meeting with my sister, and made some more small progress on job form.
Tomorrow... going to the office. Mr Cheery coming too - not to the office, but to town, to see a friend, and hopefully to Halfords to get the rear light bulb replaced in the little car.
In the evening, more job form. I will be glad to see the back of it, but will be working probably right up to the deadline 🙄😂
Anyway, despite epic day, I am impressed with myself for making soup in the hay box this morning, making breakfast, dinner and snacks for work tomorrow, and getting the rest of the soup in the freezer before coming to bed tonight. Good habits that I am very glad to be in!
Right, best go to sleep, need to be back in the car in 6.5 hours 🙄😂9 -
Definitely good habits Cheery! Hope today is less epic.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Hope so!
Not long out of almost 6 hours of meetings and I'm flagging 🙄 Mr Cheery has got a second wind and lined up a million social engagements this afternoon, so I will keep working for a while then switch to job form until he's ready to go home (hopefully having sorted out the car light in the meantime!)
Just resorted to a trip to the canteen for a yogurt to try and perk me up a bit 🙄 Not sure it's worked 😂
Only posting in here for a bit of accountability/pep talk 😂 Might as well do a (very vague list)
3.45-5pm ADMIN & NECESSARY PREP
* phone call
* email to say no
* tweak presentation
* printing for Monday
* reply re advisory board
* course feedback
* list for tomorrow/Thursday
That gets all urgent things off my list (both urgent/important and urgent/not important). Then I'll move locations and get on with the job form - I think I'm going to take tomorrow morning and most of Thursday off to finish it 🙄
Very much looking forward to the weekend!7 -
I’m not surprised you’re flagging! Good to hear Mr Cheery has a second wind though - must mean he’s not feeling too bad today!

I love that you have an "email to say no" on your list - we should all be sending those more often than we do, I suspect!
