Ooh, thanks Beanie. I picked some up for £8 in the supermarket this morning (and then didn't end up using them as I got a taxi rather than walking 45 mins back to the office) but a second pair wouldn't go amiss!2

Afternoon, Cheery. How wonderful you can hear curlews from your garden! They are getting very rare these days - poor things are ground nesters and modern farming doesn't suit them at all.Live the good life where you have been planted.

I've got two pairs of earphones on the go at the moment - but as is so often the way (or at least it is for me) one pair aren't really all that comfy, and don't stay in place well, the other set, that I love, and use all the time, are beginning to fall apart. Always the way isn't it! I must keep my eye on the various offers from the big river site and elsewhere for options that might suit to replace the failing pair before they completely fall to bits!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

My light of doom came on today and mr redo reminded me that last year, when the weather turned, both cars had a fortnight of 'ooh me tyres' lights etcMy mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I always have trouble with one tyre in cold weather, absolutely nothing ever wrong with it & as long as I am pootling about locally no problem, but I can pretty much guarantee if I go on a fast road the light comes on. You have to check just in case but what a waste of time.

Hi all,
No issues with MOT, replaced a tyre and a couple of other minor things, £217. Happy with that, plenty left in the car pot. Other car booked for next week, and since there are NO symptoms other than the light itself, fingers crossed it'll turn out to be nothing.
Banking done this morning. Things not looking as plentiful as I'd hope at this point in the month, but I've not had to pilfer from the savings pot yet. I bought a £100 supermarket gift card for cashback which will be spent over the next few months, and both the hospital stay and trip to friends' house at the weekend involved more food & parking that we'd usually spend. Will keep an eye on things.
Oh! And I still didn't order that flippin National Trust voucher for lunch tomorrow. That's annoying, as I'll need to log into work emails to get the login link for the voucher place... Is it worth it for about £1.40 off?!
In other financial news...
Happy wheel was doing well, but is now on a downward spiral and standing at £65 for the month
Prolific is at £8.06 with another £5.17 waiting.
Mr Cheery's prolific is in a similar state.
We withdrew about £30 from his prolific account for October, but I think that's still sat in his PayPal - must retrieve that when he's up.
Onepoll has crashed SO many times in the last few days - I'm convinced they know I'm at £22.90 (I think) and are trying to sabotage me getting to payout 😂
Not much else to report. Lunch for me and mum tomorrow but at least the car park and visit itself are free. No other big plans for the month, couple of social things next weekend, not extortionate but will spend something. May end up dipping into that monthly saving pot this month, which is annoying, but this is only the second month since I wildly increased it, so still finding a balance...
Right, breakfast!4 -
1P has been crashing for me and others too, it’s not you Cheery! I do think they used to stop sending surveys when you got close to payout, but I haven’t noticed that so much in the last couple of years.

Thanks both! I did manage to finish a 1P survey this morning, but I'd got my numbers wrong and am still only up to £22.50. Will get there soon!
Got some vouchers for Mr S, so we're off there this afternoon - I need to take some library books back too. 100 points when you spend in the cafe, 220 for dental stuff (we can stock up) and another, hmm, can't remember what the third voucher is for, but it's something we'd buy anyway - I chucked the other vouchers that we wouldn't use. Checked the app too - 50 points for watching a video, and saved an offer of 60 for buying milk, so we'll likely do that too.
Already got £12.63 worth of points in there, so should add another £2-3 today, so that's adding up nicely - will keep an eye out for festive offers. We don't use Mr S for a big shop so they add up slowly - it's mostly just milk/fruit if we're waiting for a prescription from the chemist in one town, or the cafe in the big shop in the other town 😂4
