Ha, thank you all, giggled reading all your replies 😂😂 Love having you lot as a gang of virtual pals 🥰🥰
Well, a pretty productive 3 day week of work, but I'm glad it's over 😂 Off til next Wednesday now, which I've somehow managed to do on just one day of annual leave 😂 Just arranged for some friends to come on Saturday and stay over, but otherwise we're not doing much - I intend to get lots of jobs ticked off and to prepare for next week. I'm only working Wednesday and Thursday (don't worry, after that we switch into a new annual leave year and I'll be back to normal 4 day weeks 😂).
Anyway, working Wednesday and Thursday, Mr Cheery's friend is coming to stay Wednesday til Friday morning, when he's gone some of my family are turning up for the day on Friday for the day, then when they've gone I'm going to pick up another friend to stay Friday night 😱 Not quite sure how all that got bundled together but hey ho 😂
Still, not going to fret about all that right now. Need a list for tomorrow first, hang on!3 -
Right, tomorrow and Friday
VISITOR PREP
* wash and dry both sets of spare bedding - visitors won't overlap, but we'll put them in separate rooms anyway to save changing sheets
* meal plan and prepare what I can in advance
ADMIN
* book smart meter installation
* finalise and pay for power of attorney
* order prescription
* dig out Mr Cheery's HMRC letters
OUTSIDE
* weed front garden
* relocate some herbs and pots
* spend some time in the windbreak area
* mow front garden
* strim everywhere else
* as much scything as possible
* experiment with brick acid
OTHER THINGS
* we'll likely need a supermarket trip before visitors arrive
* blog post
That'll probably do - I do want to spend quite a bit of time in the garden but some of that depends on the weather, of course...6 -

Not making productive use of it yet, mind you 😂😂 Had a nice breakfast and currently sat on the swing seat with a book and reading MSE diaries. It's spitting a bit, but I've not let that deter me so far 😂
I'll rouse myself shortly though - want to get a bit of garden pottering done at least.3 -
Right. Finished weeding under the apple trees, and applied a couple of layers of mulch from inside the chicken run and the old pile of woodchip.
Then it started raining a bit more, and my phone was running out of battery (meaning no audio book!) so I came in, had some lunch, and got a few admin tasks ticked off
* booked smart meter installation
* paid rendering bill (and answered call from bank fraud department)
* ordered repeat prescription
* checked and paid for my finances POA - I've got a question to ask Mr Cheery about the health one so I'll do that when he gets back later
Sun's shining again now, so I'm going to get some washing on (which I should have done while it was raining, obviously...) and get back out in the garden4 -

Bizarrely I feel like I'm having a nice calm day Beanie! Possibly because I've been here on my own for a few hours - pretty rare, but I do love it 😊 Delighted to report I now have THREE courgettes growing!!

Indeed RT! Two tomatoes are going red as well 😊 and I've planted out the only two surviving kale plants, which are so tiny I'm not sure they'll survive but still.
Washing is hung out, and it's quite breezy so hoping it'll dry.
Now hanging around (literally) in the hammock 😂 Can't figure out sitting in it, but I think I've got lying down to a fine art. Currently got a leg out either side so I can rock myself like a rocking chair - I don't think it's a very dignified look 😂😂6
