What do you make of the new forum format? I was thinking of you during the month and wondering if,it would something of a shock to come back to?!
I was going to suggest social media shaming for Smeeeeeg (think Red Dwarf pronunciation here 😂).KKAs at 15.07.25:

Welcome back Cheery, You have been missed with your cheery posts and updates. Well done on the scything, not easy work I am sure. Great stuff regarding your craft room, now you have somewhere to hide and chill if you need to. I'll remind you about the "sewing thread" another time as it looks like you are super busy right now. Shame about your stove it certainly doesn't look as if it was your fault, these companies eh?
Right, off to catch up on your thread as it does move at lightening speed 🤣🤣🤣

Thank you all for your support with the stove! I think I only have a work Twitter/X/whatever account so won't be reviving that to complain, but Smeg do post lots of pretty pictures on Instagram so I may post there instead!
Nice but long day yesterday. Drove to my mum's, spent the day helping her wallpaper her spare room. I've not done it before, but she was a surprisingly good teacher 😂 Not finished, but we did all the full width, full drop pieces, which was the aim - she's struggling to get up the ladder holding those.
Then popped to see my sister and her family too.
Didn't get home til almost 11pm though so a long day! Not long woken up this morning - we finally got round to fitting both bedroom blinds, which means it's actually quite dark in our bedroom now 🙄😂
So, today's plan. A workout. I think a trip to the tip. We're going to visit a neighbour tonight - I need to confirm if it's for food or just a cuppa (which was the original plan, but then she said 'I'll make tea' which would have been an odd thing to say if she was just making a CUP of tea 😂).
Other things that I'd like to tackle over the day:
* scything
* wash spare room bedding for weekend guests (may have to dry indoors so it'll need longer)
* tidy up tools etc from bedroom
* try to catch attic mouse so we can shut the loft hatch in the bedroom
* maybe clean a couple of the windowsill stones
Weather forecast suggests rain between about 1 and 4pm so I might aim for tip trip then and try to get more scything done before and after. Friends are coming to help with that - so I need to have plenty already done that we can be raking.
Mind you, I don't want to be so worn out that I can't keep up with them 😂 And I also need to think about batch cooking/ planning food so it's easy. Hmm...5 -
Ooh - and I've just won £100 on the premium bonds! 😃😃 First time I've won anything in months!8
-
First time I've won since April 2022, in fact 😱 and before that, I won in Nov 2021 (but I did also win every month for 9 months before that, because that was when we actually had a decent wodge of savings, before we paid for the kitchen 🙄). This is the first time a single bond has won more than £25 too.
Definitely going for the million next month 😂8 -
