Sending positive MOT vibes from here as well.
It's funny how the little changes in lifestyle like your thing with the strimmer come with a mix of practicality "I'd never have been able to do this before" and also sadness alongside. Hanging your washing out without needing wellies is definitely a win though!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Afternoon MSE chums!
Well, today has been somewhat derailed! I ended up with an odd sensation very suddenly in one arm at 1am 🙄 Ended up ringing 111, and of course they rather dramatically sent an ambulance, and I ended up in A&E by 3am 🙄
LOTS of waiting round, and I was eventually sent home at 9.30am - not, fortunately, having had a heart attack 🙄 but just apparently stressed, and having laid on my arm a bit funny 🙄
Now, I'm glad it turned out to be nothing serious, but what a palaver! Kind of wish I hadn't rung in the first place, but it felt very odd and wrong at 1am 🙄
Anyway, needless to say I didn't sleep at all in A&E, but Mr Cheery did manage to snatch enough napping time in the car park to be able to drive us back home. Slept for a few hours, and now I feel considerably more human.
So no work done today, of course. I do have a 30 minute meeting shortly which I'm going to go to, because I've already rescheduled it twice and it's really not complicated, just needs a conversation. Then nothing else!
Car is fine - as expected, needed 2 new tyres (and a spring) but otherwise fine. I wanted all weather tyres so had to leave it there til today, and of course today have been in no fit state to get it. I'm in London tomorrow (for a conference, not presenting, and an old school friend will be there so it will be nice) and then we're going away for the weekend, so it'll have to stay stranded at the garage til Monday now 🙄
Anyway, all very dramatic, but a nice non-serious wake up call for me. Eat better, more exercise, and considerably more relaxation and fun.11 -
Oh Cheery! Well, I'm glad it was a non-serious call, but I bet it felt serious at 1am
Your last sentence could apply to us all - certainly to me. And it sounds like you have the potential for lots of fun after your short meeting. Enjoy.

Glad your ok Cheery! I once got admitted to A&E via a ambulance called by 111 to work after someone in a class I was teaching noticed I had gone very pale, and had very blue hands. I didn't feel great and was fighting off a bit of a bug but it was the blue hands that meant they admitted me. Turns out I was wearing fairly new jeans and had put my hands in my pockets a lot, probably feeling a bit nervous and tired during the class. Took so long to get released and I felt so daft!8

Oh Cheery! What a fright for you. I would have called 111 too - better safe than sorry with these things. And the symptoms of a heart attack for women can be unusual. Take very good care of yourself and feel better soon.

Thank you all xxx I'm fine, it'll just take me a few days to catch up on missing a whole night of sleep 🙄
No catching up today though, I'm on my way to London for a conference 😊 Very jolly.
Realised I've arranged to collect the car on Monday, but actually I'm meeting some people close to home on Monday so it'll have to be Tuesday I think. What a palaver!7
