Good stuff, glad it's helpful! Very happy to answer detailed nerdy questions if I can when you're ready 😂 That spreadsheet i linked to might give you a good idea of how to set yours up (although I've not actually looked at it so can't vouch for it!)
Next thermal blind is progressing very slowly 🙄 And it's raining, although fortunately not the forecast freezing rain that's been happening nearby. Apparently it's going to be 12 degrees tomorrow - feels almost tropical! 😂 Might get my sandals back out!! 😂5 -
Loved reading about your workflow Cheery! Mine is similar, but with more fiddling with the budget - I reconcile every few days (ideally) and tend to “play” with it quite a bit over the month 🙈 however that is because I like tinkering with my budget and probably not the ideal method 😂Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

I do exactly the same @Bluegreen143! If I overspend in one category it has to come from somewhere else! Usually either the Grocery budget or the holiday budget.
It's how YNAB's designed - Roll with the Punches!

I do tinker sometimes too - it's just that sometimes I get carried away and ignore it for a couple of weeks too 🙄 More tinkering would do me good!
Well, the freezing rain arrived 🥶🥶 Went to give the chickens their bedtime porridge and it was like an ice rink. Layer of ice coating everything- drive, gate, back door, chicken run steps 🥶🥶 We had to clamber through the ivy to get some traction to get to the chicken run without crampons 🙄
Roll on tomorrow's 12 degrees I say!4 -
Thank you @Cheery_Daff and @Bluegreen143 for all the information about YNAB and how you run your budgets and thank you @KajiKita for asking the questions. I want to over haul how we manage our money and this has given something to ponderFashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Happy to have contributed, even if only by asking questions! 😉
I know I’m getting better at managing my budget, after a year of tracking, but now I have a full cycle of fin ça cial data I want to do it better and in more detail. I really want to hack back at my food / groceries spend next year as that is really the only discretionary spend we have now with any fat in it. (Pun intended)

I am not *quite* believing the 12 degrees forecast for tomorrow…. Seems so unlikely that it will shift so much. I will believe it when I feel it! 😉🔥

It's already warming up quite considerably out there. Just been out to put the chickens to bed and there's a definite thaw, ground noy half as slippy, trees all dripping, air just feels soggy. So we'll see!
I've stuck my three layers of blind together, no idea how just cutting and sticking has taken me the entire day 🙄😂 but then I didn't get dressed til 12.30 so that's part of the explanation 😂 Not sewing til tomorrow now when the glue is properly dry. Running a nice bath instead, then we might finally get round to putting the tree up!6 -
Haven't you only just taken the tree down? 🤣

Pretty much 😂 19th March I think 😂3
