Thank you all ๐๐ here, have a piece of this giant virtual cake ๐ you all deserve it for listening to me moaning about the application process so much all those months ago! ๐๐
Well, Mr Cheery has surpassed himself in the 'acquiring random things' stakes this evening. He turned up from his adventures with a pizza, a bag of giant white chocolate buttons (to be rationed, of course - I was given 7 tonight), and...
... a harp. An actual harp.
Not yet decided if we're keeping it. He's never been one to turn down a musical instrument, but the house does rather reflect that already (we have two harmoniums, for example, which neither of us can play).ย
He's considering offering it to a friend. Question is, can I, who has never yet showed any interest in learning to play the harp until one literally showed up on my doorstep, step in and demand to keep it for myself?! Or should I just learn to play one of the harmonium instead?? ๐7 -

Thanks cafelady ๐ It's not a giant full size one, but it's still about 4 foot high ๐ I'll have a go on it later.
In the meantime, more importantly, I tested negative this morning, and after 8 days of confinement, and with my cough fully gone, have finally judged it safe to be out and about, so we are breakfasting in a spacious corner of the cafe by an open door. It's so exciting! Don't think I've seen anyone other than Mr Cheery since a week last Saturday ๐ (oh, except the neighbours for five mins)6 -

Gosh, I feel SO much brighter today! Still not up to full speed, and I didn't sleep well last night so quite tired, but brain is working much better than even yesterday, thank goodness.
Today is my last working day til Tuesday - out of work more than I'm in at the minute! ๐9
