santander £40 amazon trick

I recently did , on M's advice, the £40 Amazon  trick.  Now got my £40 , but is there a fee for the card?  wondering whether to keep it or cancel as presumed no fees attached?  If I cancel, how do I do that please?  thought I was being clever but now fear I may incur costs?

If you applied for a balance transfer, or if you run up  balance that you don't pay off,  there will be a charge.

The card itself is free of charge.

You should be alright this time, but best to check these things in future before you commit.

Yes Daliah, I know!!!   Huge thanks for your reply.  Advice taken!!!

  • Hi there, I got the Santander card and contracted them as I haven't received an email or voucher and they say it's a 3rd party offer and I should contact MSE to get any help. Anyone know the 3rd party? Thanks so much!

Amazon are not involved in this, it's just an Amazon voucher that is issued. MSE did the offer and looking at a post I made in December, it seems you have to claim it within 30 days of taking out the card:

    Offer terms:

    • These terms and conditions apply to the £40 Amazon.co.uk Gift Card* promotion listed by ClearScore Technology Limited, Credit Karma UK Limited, Digitonomy, Dot Zinc Limited, Experian Ltd, MoneySupermarket Group, MoneySavingExpert, Runpath Digital Limited, TotallyMoney or Uswitch Limited and by making a claim you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions, therefore please read carefully.
    • You will be able to claim the Amazon.co.uk Gift Card* within 30 Days of your successful application for a Santander All in One, Everyday No Balance Transfer Fee or Everyday Long Term Balance Transfer Credit Card Credit Card application via ClearScore Technology Limited, Credit Karma UK Limited, Digitonomy, Dot Zinc Limited, Experian Ltd, MoneySupermarket Group, MoneySavingExpert, Runpath Digital Limited, TotallyMoney or Uswitch Limited and your account has not been closed.
    • If confirmed eligible, you will receive an email from noreply@optimisemedia.com which will contain details of how to claim your Gift Card. Please note emails will be sent to the email address provided when signing up to the offer with Optimise Media (UK) Limited (Optimise). Please ensure that emails from Optimise Media (UK) Limited (Optimise) are accepted into your inbox and do not end up in your junk/spam/promotional folder.
    • You will have 30 days in which to claim your Gift Card from the date you receive your email from Optimise Media (UK) Limited (Optimise). If you do not claim within 30 days of receiving the email you will no longer be eligible to receive the £40 Amazon.co.uk Gift Card. Upon receipt of email from Optimise Media (UK) Limited (Optimise) you will need to follow the clear instructions set out in the email to claim the Gift Card.

You're over the 30 days so need to submit a claim:

    https://omgrefer.com/scc

You'll need the application number starting OLA
