re schedule or cancelled flight?

Am I correct in thinking that the difference between a re scheduled flight and a cancelled flight is if the new flight number is different from the original?

And if so would I  be entitled to a full refund if my new flight number is different from the original and i choose not to take it?

Is there a change in flight timings, or is it the 'same flight' but with a different number? And how far ahead is the flight?

Change in timings and flight number.Its in 4 weeks time. I am not interested in compensation,just if i have the right to cancel with a full refund.

The timings are still a mystery, how big is the change, and which airline is it? Without a few facts, we cannot help you!
