Time to renew, any recommendations? Never know how good they are until I make a claim which I've rarely done. Have been with Green Flag but they have jacked up my premium again.

Thanks. Read so many reviews about poor service that the promo's don't tell me about I was looking for real experience.motorguy said:

OK, well AutoAid is worth looking at. They're no longer as cheap as they once were, but still fairly competitive (especially if you drive more than one car and have a spouse/legal partner who also needs cover). I've been with them years, and can't fault the service on the odd occasion I've needed to call them.caveat_emptor said:

My quest for the cheapest has faded the older I have got and I now want the speed of service as my number one priority.
So I'm afraid I have to have the annual big haggle with the AA and still come away feeling a little ripped off but at least they are pretty efficient.0 -
As a 3 car/2 adult family I would vote for AutoAid. They came out and dealt with a 'home start' issue with my husbands car (250K miles on the clock) with no problem. Likewise - we have a classic car (1996) and checked if they would cover it because of its age - no problem (although we HAVE kept copies of all of the correspondence to back that up)!#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3660

Nationwide cover via bank account. Uses Britannia who have been fantasticRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.1

This. £156 a year (£13 a month fee) and that covers mobile phone insurance and travel insurance too. Flexplus current account.jimjames said:Nationwide cover via bank account. It also covers the account holder(s) in any other vehicle and includes European breakdown cover - useful when we can actually leave these shores! Most importantly there is no age limit on the car either in UK or abroad so as my cars are up to 25 years old it's quite handy. Some others restrict age/mileage quite drastically.walwyn1978 said:
