The important thing is that you have the auto response email. Keep it safe. MCOL does take a while to update I believe. If you are concerned, you could ring the court on Monday if MCOL hasn't updated by then.

My deadline is Feb 28th, and while I do have the auto-responder acknowledgment, should I do any chasing as the deadline approaches if MCOL doesn't reflect my filed N180 soon?
You can if you don't mind being caller 52 in the queue to speak to the CCBC if it's confirmation from them that can only put your mind at ease.

Hey team, I finally got a date for early September. I have until July 5th 2022 to submit the evidence that I will rely upon.

In terms of drafting the Witness Statement, will I receive the evidence they will rely on well in advance of this date, or can they submit it quite last minute too? I only ask as I guess my WS should address some of their points, or is that not correct?

They have the same deadline as you.

Look at WS examples by @ricky_balboa and @wobs2k for latest recommended frameworks from which to build your own.

I've started drafting my WS, but a lot of the usual arguments are around bad signage etc. In the SAR response, they never provided the signage from the car park on the day as evidence they will rely on. Not sure how to proceed in that regard, unless it is something I can comment on after they submit it?

My general defence is around the fact that entry to the car park is security restricted and explicit permission is needed for entry, and without a period of parking on any papers, there isn't any evidence of overstay (amongst other things of course).

Signage is easy to check in Google Streetview by changing the image to a previous year.  It is always key to a defence and WS.

Nor should you have been expecting them to. A SAR is a Subject Access Request ... i.e. data they hold about the subject (you). Signage is not data relating to you.

    Hey everyone,

Got some great news! I had a settlement offer come through via email, and I thought I'd be cheeky and reply that I would not settle for any amount of money due to my strong evidence that this is not a valid claim. A few days later I got a reply with a Notice of Discontinuance!

Thank you all so much for the help, super super appreciate you all!
Well done, a nasty little monkey off your back. 👍

A UKPC/DCB Legal discontinuation of a fully defended claim is now becoming such a widespread pattern that I think forum advice for such claims might change to 'go through all the defence stages, be resolute, don't crumble and you will get a discontinuation'. Not far away I expect!
