    You don't say what's wrong with the existing phone - would a simple 'factory reset' sort it out?
    It’s the battery. I am guessing it’s not worth replacing even if it could be replaced. There may be other issues with it I don’t know about.
    I would say it is 100% worth repairing. Apple do a fixed price repair for £49, plus a delivery charge of around £7 if you don't want to do it yourself (which I'm guessing you don't- in fairness having done it a few times I'd be tempted with just getting Apple to do it). That seems by far the best and cheapest option. In our experience very little/nothing else really goes wrong with iphones.
    That’s what I am planning on doing as myself and my wife are still rocking iPhone 6S’s that are down to a days use on a single charge. I could buy the batteries and fit myself but going to get Apple to do it for an easy life.
