I have a large wooden dining table with metal legs & I would like a more modern look.Do you think so? The table was quite expensive and is less than a year old so I was hoping to find a way around getting a new one
How much more modern do you want?A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0 -
Thanks for your thoughts.daveyjp said:Toughened glass doesn't have to be very thick and heavy. 3-4mm thick is enough for a table top.
The yellow top may be nothing more than acrylic sheet. Plenty of suppliers on line that will provide it cut to your size,
A piece of 3mm toughened glass 2.1x1.1 m is surely going to be pretty heavy? But I think it might be the only way to do it, I got a sample piece of acrylic - it looked cheap & nasty.
The image was from a magazine, the article said it was lacquered by a local car shop sprayer.
