I always buy in bulk as we go through a huge amount - it used to be 4 packs for £12 now gone up to £15!! Eeeeek!
I know I got 4 packs for £12 just before Xmas as I restock the bathrooms with 2 packs at a time and I still have 2 full packs in the garage.
I don't bother too much about the quality as my kids are all prolific users. I had to buy andrex during lockdown when we had the shortages and they used that just as fast as the cheaper stuff.
It often seems like I replace the roll every day in my main bathroom and no amount of nagging/threatening/persuading has been successful in getting them to use less. Short of standing outside the bathroom and handing out a ration per visit I'm at a loss as to how to reduce consumption so I guess this is one area where I'll just have to pick my battles lolTotal debts £21050! now £10941. 76. Total extra income made in Jan22 £109. 27 Feb 22 £45.25 Total extra income made in 2022 £154.52 Aiming for debt free at 45 - 41 months to go!8 -
I haven't got a Farmfoods and use Iceland's loo rolls. They were £5.50 for 24 rolls but I noticed on Facebook that they had an advert saying 2 for £11 and £13 crossed out, so presumably they've gone up to £6.50 for 24 since I bought the last lot! It's really annoying because it's the sort of thing you can't cut back on!

Couldn,t help noticing today thst the cardboard diameter of one loo roll just finished today was almost twice the size of one used recently whixh means manufacturers can wind a lot less toilet paper around it and still have it looking, from the exterior at least, as if the loo roll hasn,t shrunk in size. And the manufacturers think we don,t notice these things!
Annoyingly as I use the empty loo holders for sowing my climbing beans in, it means having to use more compost to fill each loo holder so more expense!10 -
