We live in a flat and the lease states no washing machine, dishwashers etc after 8pm until 8am so I doubt moving our electricity usage to the wee small hours would work for us. Sound travels in unusual ways in flats and it does you no harm to think of your neighbours, a good neighbour is priceless.

Hello 👋
I’ve not been on here since April, I couldn’t keep up with the chat and life was just too complicated.Things have settled here, I’m delighted to have paid off the loan I needed to get in Dec 2020 over 5 yrs today. I am now debt free again thanks to frugal living. Thank you @FrugaldomI’ve spent quite a time investing in growing equipment that’s marginally weather proofed and hunting down cheap fuel for my log burner. I do get a box delivered a month so even if I cannot find cheap I don’t notice the cost as much. It’s fabulous to have some rain - my next investments after the bathroom referb will be water butts and the guttering needed.I hope everyone is well.

Well done on your debt free day!It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!7

@willow_loulou I'm very well, budget is taking a bit of a hammering with all the price increases like everyone else!. Didn't mean to pounce on you as soon as you posted, I had just popped on for a quick catch up5

@maryb thank you !@MazzieD I’m glad you replied, was worried no one would remember me!I’m glad you’re okay. Budgeting is almost impossible isn’t it! I’m grateful my car service and MOT have remained the same price, I was dreading having to put extra on my CC as I like to use and pay off monthly where possible.Life happens, live it well.5

@willow_loulou I remember you 😊 Welcome back and well done on returning to debt freedom. I'm absent most of the time as looking after the sanctuary and Frugaldom, in general, takes up all my time and energy. No reliable signal put here means catching up here is just one of a long list of things to do while home.
Cylinder gas prices are up again, it's now £105 for the big 47kg red bottles at the caravan but that's still much cheaper than paying over £50 for the 15kg blue ones. Logs are now stacked, apples almost all picked, berry jelly made, cordial made and I've now got some free-from-olio lemons to make into marmalade. I MUST make more laundry gloop as the shop bought stuff is a ridiculous price.
Is anyone else having problems getting white vinegar?

Hope everyone is managing to keep control of budgets. Have all our UK members received their energy rebates/ grant payments from Govt.?I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.
