You can have 10 savings pots too so I keep all of my budgets separate but I can transfer money between them in a few seconds - it's super easy.

I have noticed that if you are on certain benefits you can get preferential tariffs with water and broadband does nt apply to me but might help someone else. The details are on their websites for anglian water Discounted tariffs
These include our LITE tariff, if you have a lower household income and our WaterSure and AquaCare Plus tariffs. We can also help you understand if you’re able to claim benefits, and if necessary, put your account on hold to give you some breathing space. It’s all part of our WaterCareService.21k savings no debt6 -
Hello all. Hope everyone is well. Been very busy here. Lambing for a month, we now have 19 lambs jumping round the field. Two pigs have been purchased and are now safely contained in there newly re-enforced, double fenced and electrified field. (Pigs like to escape if they can!) They have been named Bacon and Sausage, just so they are under no illusions about their future. A large black hen is sitting on 7 eggs, so hopefully chicks later this week. The polytunnel and beds are all now in production. Asparagus just about finished, all the cauliflowers i overwintered have been picked, brocolli nearly finished. Lettuce, peas, rhubarb, few carrots, all being harvested. Tomatoes in flower. Courgettes appearing, still small. Runner beans almost ready to harvest, french beans starting to flower.
Youngest DGD is now in full time school so I have a little more time during the day. I have at last updated my signature, to the end of April, for everything except food/groceries which is upto date. Most things are around where I expected them to be. Bills will get much higher when I pay the gas, (tank) this month and later in the year when house insurance comes out. Animals is high but some of that is due to lambing needs.
We have had to buy DD3 a new car, cost covered by the insurance claim from her old one, we insured it for the year for her too. She is moving out at the start of July. There is little work locally, any she has found is either part time or a long drive. She will go and live with one of her brothers and his partner to start with. She want to buy her own place, but needs full time wages to even think about it.
Off now to check on seedlings, hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.11 -
I read a post on a blog I follow recently regarding basically how entitled we are regarding food. I usually try to keep my work lunches low cost, but still spend a fair amount on them. Today, I’ve had pasta spirals, a 39p sauce and onions, mushrooms and olives. It’ll do me three days for probably £1. I didn’t want that but it’s saved me over £10 - i am seeing a shift in my mindset and that feels positive15

And another person who grows my own here. So far only really harvesting lettuce, everything else just about to take off. Even the lettuce is helping though - no cost, no air miles. No plastic, no waste and so easy to grow.13

Currently only harvesting lettuce too.The rhubarb is nearly over although I might get a small harvest later this week. There is plenty of crumble in the freezer already though. The toms 🍅 are starting to flower and the chilli 🌶 plants are growing but could do with a proper heatwave.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

I am on the 'essential' tarriff for Southern Water which gives a 20% discount .My metered water is now down to £9.60p per month, I am very careful with water as I am with all of the utilities, nothing ges to waste in my house and I have a zero-food waste policy in my house
I was so upset that I had to bin four slices of bread yesterday when my freezer started to play up and they had gone soft, but the rest of the stuff I saved by whizzing to my DDs and playing freezer matrix with it and the remaining stuff I put into an insulated picnic box unitl I had defrosted and sorted my freezer out Alls well now and sorted out and working again it had been so frosted up it had pushed the door very slightly open overnight Luckily I spotted it first thing yesterday morning

Hi everyone I haven't posted much but I have been trying to follow throughout the year.
We have one last debt to pay off. I'm hoping to clear it before the end of July as myself and DP both turn 30 in July and I'd like to start out 30s as we mean to go on !
We have gone back to cash spending for everything apart from our direct debits. I'll pay money in the bank when I Need to for things. It will definitely help curb the unintentional Internet spending (mainly a£azon) which Is great. But overall I'm really proud of what we have achieved in the last 12-18 months.
Once the last debt is paid the bulk of our money after bills and food etc will be On overpaying the mortgage and just enjoying life with the kids. We went camping in half term and it reminded me how important those times are. ❤️ especially since covid we just got stuck in the daily grind so it was really refreshing to finally get away.
I have 51 days till I turn 30 ! Let it be the most frugal but fabulous 50 days ❤️
