Electric tripping

A really shoddy consumer unit.
The kitchen appliances on a 16A (?radial), the lack of spare MCBs, lack of labeling of the circuits. Who knows what other corners are cut in the wiring of the house, when what we can see is completely shocking.
Perhaps that circuit is also the upstairs sockets and has been brought down into the kitchen, which is why putting more loads upstairs can tip it over.
Are there any other circuits (e.g. the kitchen sockets) nearby that one of the appliances could be moved to.
Basically a 16A circuit just isn't fit for what's on it. An electrician would probably want to turn it into a 32A ring, but that probably would mean ripping up walls, floors etc.
It's either live with, or embark on a partial rewire, and associated redecoration.

is it just the MCB thats tripping and not the RCD? those sorts of faults are easy to find (for an electrician)
what is the extent of the circuit(that is tripping, the B16), how many sockets, how many appliances, is the hot water tap you are refereeing to an Quooker or similar device or is it jut a regular hot tap ran from a combi etc...?0 -
I need to get my eyes sorted as I read the tripped circuit as a 40A breaker0
