    As S62 says.
A 2kW washing machine running alongside a 2kW tumble drier is around the 16A mark just by themselves, and very possibly above. When your hubby comes home and plugs himself in to recharge, then, well, you know.
Frankly, electric cars are hard enough to take, but electric people? A step too far.

LunaD, does your husband have a magnetic personality?

    That could be your problem.
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".

Maybe hubby is a bit of a live wire.  Sorry, I'll get my coat on the way out.
  • Your husband could be a red heron. (I know...).
Sounds fishy to me. Do red herons eat red herrings?

What is written on the breaker that trips?  Presumably it is a ring main into which are wired the washing machine, tumble drier and the boiler and some other sockets.  What does your husband do when he comes home?  Does he turn up the thermostat (which will also cause the boiler to fire) or, apart from his PC, does he switch on anything else?  When that breaker trips, what else loses power?

"B16" - which means something is wrong with the installation.
It needs an electrician to investigate further.

No, I meant the label that the installer should write on to tell the homeowner which circuit it is protecting!

There's no identifying labels/writing on any of them (bar the standard labelling of the main switch/RCD).
