My experience is that it's not the format of the number that matters, it's the network provider. It sounds odd and it's not what you would expect from a large organisation that manages huge amounts of other people's money but I have found that their phone verification system works with some networks but not with others.0

Daliah said:I know how it works at NS&I as I have already tested it out, in all possible combinations for UK mobile and landlines. This is why I can safely conclude what I posted earlier - i.e. it doesn't matter whether you enter your number with a leading zero or not. It works either way at NS&I.
Notwithstanding that, it would be useful if NS&I actually did tell people. For starters, we wouldn't need this thread...................0
