proof of covid vaccene without NHS number

Does anyone know if it is possible to get any kind of proof of vaccination if you don't have (and don't want to register for) an NHS number (other than those little  hand written cards)?

If you've ever been to the GP or treated on the NHS at hospital, you will already have an NHS number. You just might not know it.

Did the person in question give name, date of birth and other details when they got the jab - because I doubt there will be any way of getting proof they had the vaccine if the NHS has no record that they were the person who got the vaccine.  The NHS app specifically says you need an NHS number, but the online version does not say this - I haven't tried it so can't say for sure.

yes & I was able to apply online without giving mine, but the working is confusing (and of course I do still have an NHS number)

This proof business is quite a problem. I'm currently out of the UK but the Pfizer jab would be available here which I could have as a booster. However, I don't want to do that as I wouldn't have any proof for use in the UK. Therefore, I'll have to risk travelling back etc without my booster.

that's the exact same scenario in reverse, we're thinking to get the booster as there *should* be a way to get it register there (there's a clear process as long as we can get proof here)

You could try phoning 119 and asking for a letter. Those without internet access can do this so it might  work.

There is a system to register vaccination abroad but you have to go to specific centres to do so. I don't know if it covers boosters.

@michael1234 , you should be able to use the records in local app (I won't post the name of the app for your privacy) in both the UK and EU under the Europe-wide (EU, EU+, whatever you want to call it) single vaccine passport scheme, just not through the UK app (yet). If you need help getting the app activated I'll discuss it by PM as it's not relevant to those in the UK. I've been through the process this year for reasons other to yours.

@rexmedorum , at the moment you can't add a foreign vaccine to a UK record (it seems you want to do this), but I believe can use an internationally administered vaccine in the same way as a UK one for a number of countries avoiding the need for an LFD.

@CKhalvashi not it's the other way round. Already know how to add the UK vaccine to the foreign reccord, but that isn't possible without any proof of course.
