Debt recovery plus

Hi,

I know it's another debt recovery plus topic sorry!

I had a fine from euro car parks back in June 2020. I mistakenly appealed as I could not make a mobile payment and left the car park having no change on me. I may have hinted I was the driver. The appeal as you can guess was rejected.

Every letter after I ignored. The letters then stopped. I have also now changed cars.

Unfortunately last week I get a letter from debt recovery plus who have said my case is unique and they state they are about to make legal proceedings and is signed from their legal manager. The letter is quite different to anything else I've seen so has me wondering.

Is this anything to worry about?

Thank you

Eventually it probably is , because ECP are likely to issue a court claim , possibly through dcb legal or b w legal , before 6 years are up ( the limit for court action is 6 years in England and Wales , 5 years in Scotland )

The drp ltd letter can be ignored , the debt collectors are powerless , but this wont go away and it will get serious when an LBC followed by a court claim arrive

Have you read the newbies?  They tell you to ignore dcbt collectors.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

So are ECP known for taking these cases to court? I had hope they'd given up but seems to have resurrected itself.

I did read the newbies thread but this seemed to be a different sort of letter. But I did a bit more googling and found that someone else had the same letter last month and I can see now it's all the same thing.

I did complain to the land owner at the time. I find it difficult to find a similar case as it's a county park under the local council. I contacted the parks department in the council and they just fobbed me off to ECP and didn't want anything else to do with it.

    A country park?
Where exactly did this alleged parking event take place?

If it was on council owned land, it may be difficult to pin anything on the keeper.

No they are not known to be very litigious but please show us the DRP letter as I asked, we'd love to see this new letter that pretends bog standard template parking cases are 'unique'!

Has it got that fake name on the bottom and an internet image of a man with blurred mountains in the background? They never cease to entertain.

Teston Bridge Country Park is owned by Kent County Council.

As I said earlier, as long as Euro Car Parks don't know who was driving you have nothing to worry about.
