Is there a similar site to findmysupplier that will show Elec provider? findmysupplier only shows gas supplier.
Find My Electricity Supplier Two stage process: Find your DNO, then go to their website.
Thanks, I've done this but it doesn't say ESB/So Energy etc...

    Kev
Who does your DNO say you are with?
All that's happened is that the company that was Ireland's Electricity Supply Board has bought the majority ownership of So Energy and will be operating under that brand.

    Thanks

GTC is your DNO not your electricity supplier, so you'd have to contact them.

HI, I got a email too saying they moving me over to So Energy for Elec, got a email saying transfer started, they will be in touch in 3 weeks from So energy with login details etc etc.  All my tariff details etc remain the same and contract, I signed up for 2 year fixed so I'm now just waiting for the So Energy login details to check out there web interface as it implies So Energy is better than ESB but will wait and see.

I have a SMETS2 Elec smart meter so hopefully they wont request a reading and will just read it as needed :)

Is there a similar site to findmysupplier that will show Elec provider? findmysupplier only shows gas supplier.

I'm currently considering getting my Gas switched to SMETS2 next year at some point just so that they can take a reading when they want incase supplier ceases trading etc like my Gas supplier did.

    Thanks

    Kev
    Hi Kev,

Good to know I'm not alone :D

I'll let you know how I get on once my login comes through. Be interested to hear if the transfer goes smoothly for you.

I haven't got a smart meter, but will definitely get one now with gen2 meters the norm. A meter reader took a reading recently and I submitted one on the day my tariff came to an end.

    Fingers crossed!
Hi, Yes indeed :) Have you heard any more?  The last email I got said I should receive a welcome letter in 3 weeks but the 3 weeks is up Monday and no letter so far.

I notice on my bank, the DD says So Energy but I've not received any welcome details, login details etc.

    Thanks

    Kev
    Hi Kev,
I've heard nothing so far from So Energy.
I can still log into ESB. It now says I'm on the variable rate there rather than I have 0 days left on my fixed rate, so I've taken a screenshot of that, just incase.

Hi, I can still login to ESB too and still says I'm on the same plan and n mention of the move to so energy on my account so guess will keep waiting for the welcome message from so Energy.

No communication from So Energy, yet...

I needed to update my readings (no smart meter yet). Was surprised to notice that I there is no longer the gas reading tab, only the electric. So I uploaded the electric and messaged them with the gas reading.

I can only assume that they have moved the gas over first. Hopefully, the electric will follow soon...

    HI @RateTartExtraodinaire,

Still not had a email from so energy at all but I've just discovered, if I go to so energy website, login and choose forgot password, enter in my email address and submit, it sends a reset password link, I can then login and it has my details and is in process of transferring credit over but has DD, personal details etc and also has the payment listed I made this month so unsure where my email is, unless they wont send it until the credit has transferred.  It also doesn't show me tariff info yet either.

Got a Welcome email today advising to activate my account and to set a password so did that and it lets me in as before but still the same details, still says Transferring and when I click on tariff info, it says error and doesn't show me tariff details just a button to go home so i guess still work in progress :)

Did you get a welcome email also?

    Hi Kev,
Yes I did get the welcome letter and now today I have my first bill!

Very strangely they have extended by electricity fixed Brighter Future Digital 18 v4 which was only 18 months long and ended in Nov 2021 until 2023 :D I'm not complaining about that!

On the other hand, my Gas is on the Flex variable tariff as expected.
My direct debit is still the same but I will increase it by about 25% and see how I go.
