  • Have a look....://www.nhsemployers.org/sites/default/files/2021-06/anatomical-pathology-profiles.pdf
  • I'm sure you'll work the beginning of the link out.
  • Workload doesn't factor into it. I'll try and have a look at the role and if there is a similar profile to match a higher band (likely be later this evening).
I can see on the nhs profile website the "role" is listed as band 3-5 and hasn't been reviewed since 2004 ?!

The title is not even the same anymore!  😆
  • Within this context job titles are meaningless.
Has your unite steward got direct experience of matching panels, what are their thoughts on the situation?

Put you attn on getting sight of the matched job reports, thats where your evidence is likely to be found.

Are matched job reports done at trust level? Bu job matching I assume you mean job evaluation as I see these used to describe the same thing ?

I will ask him regarding matching panels

Here's a summary of the procedure, it's published by RCN however I'm sure Unite will have similar resources...htt p://www.rcn.org.uk/-/media/royal-college-of-nursing/documents/publications/2018/december/007-206.pdf?la=en

Try and find out which trade union leads on the staff side for matching panels and make contact with one of them (there is a chance its not a unite steward) over a coffee and discus your concern and ask how to progress for best chance outcome.

Would the other places be convenient to work?

Moving may be one easy way to get the higher band.

  • I overlooked to mention an important aspect, consistancy checking. Ask you rep about taking this up.

Could you explain it a little more :) what is that
  • Checkers look for inconsistancies on matching panel outcomes and if found refer the process back to the original panel.
Have a look on Google, I'm pushed for time atm.
