Daft question have you tried calling them?

Not daft.  Yes I have.  Both numbers come up with 'the user can't take your call at the moment'

If you're getting that then either the phone is off, or somebody has switched out the SIM card.

If the phone is off, then it could be that it's just hiding somewhere in your house with a flat battery, or somebody has taken it, but isnt using it (yet).  There is absolutely no technology on earth that can located a powered off phone.

If you do have the IMEI number, then you could contact provider you had a PAYG contract with and report it stolen.  They can then blacklist the IMEI phone so nobody else can use it - but obvioulsy that wouldn't help you find it and if you did subsequently find it, it would be useless.
  • Oopsy!   Good job I checked with my son, the Iphone that I was about to shutdown is his.   So, I still haven't found my phones and now I know why I couldn't access the Apple account.  :dizzy:

No, I'm just not techy enough for that sort of thing.  One was an iPhone and the other an Android.  Its so gutting not knowing for definite that they have been taken.  It really is looking this way :-(
All I can offer is my sympathy if that is the case.

It can't be easy being caught between your partner and her son.

I hope it all works out for you ok.
His son.  I'm a female lol.

No, it isn't easy being caught between father and son at all :-(
My apologies for making the wrong gender assumption.  :)
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".
