Lost Mobile Phones

Hi
I have two old mobile phones vanish from my home. Both were in use but I would use the phones infrequently. I keep turning my home upside down looking for them (I had been using them recently) can't find them anywhere and can only assume someone has actually taken them.
Is there anyway I can find out if the phones are being used? Knowing they are being used will give me confirmation that they have been taken and I can stop wasting my time trying to find them.
It's possible I have the IMEI numbers - would this help me find out if the phones are being used?
Many thanks for any help.

What type of contract are the on and who is the provider?
Can you log onto the accounts and check usage or can you contact the service provider?
Who might have taken them? Have you been burgled or is this a domestic matter?
My wife and I have extremely old contracts (more than 20 years I think) on Virgin Pay As You Go contracts but we can still log onto our Virgin accounts and get up to date usage information.A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0 -
Both of the phones are on pay as you go. One is on O2 and the other, I think it was ASDA.
No I haven't been burgled. I lost control of who was coming and going in my house a few months back. My partners son seemed to think it was fine to invite all and sundry into my home when I wasn't here. Not happy about it, especially as my partner didn't back me up whilst I was trying to put a stop the 'open doors'!0 -
Who pays the PAYG charges?
Surely any charges will appear on the service provider account within a day or so of any usage and is easily checked.
Our Virgin accounts update within minutes as a far as I am aware although I hardly ever check it as our usage is very low.

I pay the charges but only when I use the phone. A month here and a month there.Belenus said:Who pays the PAYG charges?

Can you get the phones blocked?
I'm not worried about blocking the phones. My priority is to determine if they have definitely been taken from my home. If the phones are in use - then I know they have been stolen. Happy to block them then.0 -
Presumably you didnt have a "find my phone" type app on them? I know with the Apple version it'll show where the phone was last time it was online and if on latest version of iOS it'll even respond if its turned off as long as there is some juice in the battery. I imagine the Android phones have something similar.0

No, I'm just not techy enough for that sort of thing. One was an iPhone and the other an Android. Its so gutting not knowing for definite that they have been taken. It really is looking this way :-(0

All I can offer is my sympathy if that is the case.Terrysdelight said:No, I'm just not techy enough for that sort of thing. One was an iPhone and the other an Android. Its so gutting not knowing for definite that they have been taken. It really is looking this way :-(
It can't be easy being caught between your partner and her son.
I hope it all works out for you ok.A man walked into a car showroom.

Can you at least check if the iPhone was last used or track it? I assume of course you have it set it up that way, and it is also possible to do the same android too.Terrysdelight said:No, I'm just not techy enough for that sort of thing.
