Sorry to hear about your long covid diagnosis.
If you told the Insurance company about the long covid diagnosis before you bought the policy, then they should have covered it .
I know it can be difficult to find insurance when you have a medical condition. There is a list of specialist insurers who cover pre existing medical conditions

You will need to tell them about the long covid diagnosis and the cost will quite likely be high. If they are able to offer you insurance it will most likely cover medical expenses abroad and repatriation but not disinclination to travel, so check that the T&Cs cover what you need.0 -
Kerry2k said:I have a package holiday booked to Germany this week. I have been diagnosed with long covid and therefore I'm unable to get travel insurance with a number of brokers and also money helpers all declining insurance. The trip to Germany now has an increased risk with their figures increasing as per the latest news along with the new variant. Long covid advice is that I don't travel. The company I am due to travel with have offered me only the option to cancel and lose all money or amend at a further cost of £150pp with the risk being there that this may happen again for future dates.
Where do I stand please? Can anybody suggest a way I may get my money back for the holiday? I can't travel without insurance due to risk.
Thanks
What you have been told by the travel firm would seem right as things stand at the moment and should you wish to no longer travel. There will be times that if travel insurance does not offer cover then people will potentially lose money if they can’t or don’t wish to travel.

We've taken family trips since my wife was diagnosed (and cured) Leukaemia. We declare it and accept that there is a price to pay with regard to travel insurance, and as time has gone on, the cost has fallen.
In you case it sounds like your choices are to go and accept that any healthcare costs fall on you, change the date to a date in the future and hope you have recovered so the chance of falling ill are less (you'll still not get cover against Long Covid), or not go.1 -
