Initially in your case you just need to resend the earlier letter as you say, along with a note confirm that it had been received by them, and the details.I have created a separate thread as suggested https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6327934/bw-legal-debt-for-eon.Update - I have now received the same 'I should prove it I wasn't living there' letter as OP. I think they now came across my originally 'prove it letter'.0 -
So would you recommend sending the same letter - the prove it letter, or how do I handle. We have now received another letter chasing this, offering, yet again a discount of 75% and claiming they used credit reference agencies to find my fathers name being connected to this address. I drafted a paragraph saying we categorically deny knowledge or ownership of this debt and to cease all comms. Could add it to the main body of the prove it letter again. What do you recommend? Thank you

I wouldn't send a prove-it letter twice. Once is enough. Either they can prove it (and you then pay it) or they can't.
You should also not feel obliged to engage in letter tennis. You paragraph sounds OK though.
If you wanted to refer this to the Energy Ombudsman, should they continue, that would be an option2 -
This is the thing - you DON'T have to prove anything at all. They're still hoping to badger you into a response. Personally I'd ignore for now and sit tight and see if you hear from them again.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Just wanted to report a success with my prove it letter. I recieved a letter from bw today saying the case is closed and hasn't being passed onto any credit reporting agencies.3
