    #53  I've got news!   :)

I started the year with a target of £3,000 (the balance of my mortgage)

Earlier this month, I overpaid £907.30

Today I phoned the bank for a FINAL figure and paid their calculated amount of £1,002.30

This brings my total OPs for this year to £2,896.75.

Add on my regular payments and minus interest - I am now officially MORTGAGE FREE!

Thank you all the lovely folk here for the inspiration and to @Julicorn and Martin.  My family have saved so much since joining this forum but, more importantly, now have the security of owning the roof over our heads  :)
