New house has what I think are combination storage heaters.
As moved from gas central heating I`m baffled.
Is it worth changing them to more up to date electric radiators for efficiency and cost ?

Hi, it would be good if you can quote the make and model(s) so people know what you're dealing with1

As coffeehound says, impossible to comment without knowing what you have. Maybe a photo?

Is it worth changing them to more up to date electric radiators for efficiency and cost ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
Definitely need make and model of existing. Plus owned or rented property.
Storage heaters with E7 (or other off peak) should be cheaper to run than peak rate panel heaters. With off peak water is heated and stored for later use = good. Electric shower on peak = bad.
Only all-electric replacements worth considering would be heat pump types but will have a very long payback on the investment needed.0 -

Is it worth changing them to more up to date electric radiators for efficiency and cost ?As others have said, storage heaters are the next-cheapest way of heating with electricity, after a heat pump (which has high installation costs).Panel heaters or "electric radiators" (or anything else that runs on peak-rate electricity) are one of the most expensive options. There's a price comparison here. The costs calculated for Fischer heaters will be just as applicable to any non-E7 electric heaters.N. Hampshire, he/him.
