  • I hope the tests go well, I have also had a health scare in the last 6 months and have had various tests including CTs and a couple of MRIs. I will keep my fingers firmly crossed for you.

Must be the week for wobbles, I had a meltdown yesterday too... putting too much pressure on myself.

Just caught up with your diary and I'm following along. Hope all is well after your health scare.

Thank you - I had my CT Scan on 22nd and awaiting results. I'm relatively OK and focusing on sorting everything else in the interim.

26th April - Cancelled all of my Sky Services, picked up a nice deal that works out just shy of 20 PCM for broadband with another provider. I mucked something up along the way and now I've got 14 days with no broadband so I'm having to tether. (Oops). This should save us £384 over the year. I say save, that money is already going on the energy bills but still be better off without Sky seems as we didn't really use it at all anyway! We use a friends Netflix and our own Disney Plus.

PAD - Put £5 down on each CC, payments pending but haven't come out yet, still on track for December 2023 all being well. When the payments come out I'll be breaking through the £18K barrier and £3K on CC1.

Thoughts - Hoping for our council tax rebate to arrive this month, not put any less into the joint account but instead of putting this onto CC's, going to use this money for a dinner for two. Cheers!

  • Don't do yourself any dis-service, that 'saving' is still a saving even though it's going to your energy bills - you'd have to find it from somewhere else regardless.

Another £689.40 cleared, this marks the (just over) 18 months to go until debt free.
    Still remaining on track.

Healthwise CT scan was clear, I'm still unwell but this is good news somewhat I guess! Let's do this.

  • Glad the CT was clear, mine wasn't which is why I've had to go for MRIs.  At least that should be a weight off your mind :)

Well done on the fabulous amount paid! 18 months will pass quickly I'm sure.

Thank you, I think it's good news in the scheme of things, although I just really need a diagnosis at this point!
    £5 PAD sent to CC1, now officially a balance under £3,000.  :)

Matched the PAD to CC1 from yesterday and made a £5 PAD to CC2.
    Slow progress being made!

    Last week in summary:
02/05: £6 spent on foot at work, oops!
03/05: £94 on diesel. Can anyone remember when it was just over 60 a tank?
    04/05: A few £ spent here/there on essentials.
    05/05: More essentials
    06/05: NSD
07/05: £50 excess paid to healthcare insurance. Unplanned payment.
    08/05: £5 PAD to CC1

Best strive for 2/3 NSD's this week!

  • Because I make my PADs every day, and they are debt repayments/planned bills or movement to savings, I don't include them when totting up my NSDs - the NSD monthly thread rules also say you can exclude groceries and fuel from your spends when declaring NSDs.
You're still doing well - keep it up
