Morning, hugs if you need one.
Bright but cold, we are off to the farmers market, mainly for fruit. I have enough veg to last this week.
Gardener came yesterday, the garden has been put to bed for the winter, will see him again in February once it starts to wake up again.
I cleared up my sewing room, it does tend to get used as a dump at times, just need to empty the baskets and put the Gtec over the floor.
Sat last night and wrote some of the cards, there will be some to post but not many. Hopefully DD1 will get over before the holiday so I do not have to post hers or Grand daughters. That is the extent of my Christmas shopping......nil, everyone has the same a set of ornaments to go on the Christmas tree.
ADB for supper tonight.10 -
Good morning
Having a lie in this morning then planning on walking to the local town to buy a couple of special Christmas cards. I wrote most of the Christmas cards yesterday, just need to make up the cross stitch ones.
Planning to deep clean another room and then pack for our few days away.
Then feet up and SCD💃🕺
Have as good a day as possible 🌻10 -
Morning all
Bright and sunny here for the moment but still cold. I have a towel wash on the go and they can go on the line for a while today, there is another two loads to go on afterwards.
I had a lovely day off yesterday, bit of housework and a walk with the dogs then home to light the fire and I also watched Last Christmas which was ok very easy to watch, and then nodded off for a while.
Today I have to take mum to hospital, poor thing has to have an injection in her eyeshe is quite anxious about it as you would be ! but I have told her to remember it will be over in seconds. I will get her a treat in M & S on the way home or maybe stop and get her fish and chips then she wont have to cook tonight.
We are having burger and chips tonight which OH is going to cook so a night off for me. I need to have a quick tidy round before I go and OH is collecting the shopping.
Have good days all xxx12 -
Today box four has a rather out of focus snowman being watched over by a gloriously sparkly bird. I can't remember the last time I built a snowman.I've put a cool wash on for woollies so it won't take long. I'll leave the whites for tomorrow or Monday as I'll have to hang the woollies in the spare bedroom and stick on the dehumidifier - no sun here at all. The back garden does get much sun in winter anyway as it's too low and the walls are high.Ruby- I feel for your mother! I really wouldn't want an injection in my eye either even if there's a local first.13

Morning
Drizzly here today but definitely milder heating is off so it must be. Had the best sleep Ive had for a long time last night 9 hrs according to the trusty watch.
Did my two volunteer calls so Im free now to be a sloth
Ruby Ouch for your mum sounds horrific but I'm sure they will make it painless for her. x
Gers That is one cute snowman. Loving your calendar thanks for sharing x
No real plans today plenty I could do but probably won't More likely is a chill.
I'm trying to find a jumper I want to knit to help improve the nerves in my hands but my dilemma is always the price. My head just keeps saying I could buy it cheaper at M+S . One of my lovely ladies I called today reframed it as a physio aid I need which is a good point so Im going back to the search today. I used to love knitting years ago so hoping that will return.
Tonight is a picky tea which will be some meat, cheese, LO pasty, pringles, pickles salad and sough dough rolls
Have a good day all

Nelski why don’t you try something smaller first ,also that wouldn’t be so heavy on the needles as it grows
Gers /RedRuby as a veteran of many ,many eye injections( AMD ) I can testify that there is always lots of local anaesthetic and the thought is much much worse than the actual injection.
I still dread them though11 -
Ruby, I'll second what Sue says, the injection is painless.Chin up, Titus out.10

Afternoon everyone
Just been catching up while eating my lunch. Little one stayed last night - she woke at half 5 which is just too early, but she did go back to bed for an hour once I'd found her socks in her bed and put them back on for her.
Had a lazy morning in the house as she has to go back to the RVI tomorrow to be monitored overnight - to see if she stops breathing while she's asleep. She had a PCR test yesterday so now has to be isolated till she goes in....test came back negative.
We sat and wrote her Christmas cards for her friends at nursery - I wrote and she drew with crayon on each one - she really enjoyed doing it. She reminded me so much of her mummy when she insisted on writing one for herself too!
She's asleep just now - DD will pick her up when she wakes. I'm going to venture out to the shed and see how wet everything is inside - I haven't been able to do it yet as it's dark when I get home from work. I don't know whether to try to get someone to sort it for me or wait for the housing association, which could be a while as there are so many fences down and tiles off roofs. The felt is missing from half the roof so I don't really want everything soaked.
Well I'd better move - hope everyone has a good day
Snoozer - hope Esben is better soon x

Hugs to those in need of one.
Walked into town - I wanted some more fluffy socks for my gnomes - not for this Christmas but crafters need to plan ahead - all gone in £la.. I will go to the shopping centre next week where there is another £la.. and also pop in Prim... as they usually sell them.
I went in the haberdashery shop - again to buy stuff for 2022 makes.
Made 78 Christmas cards - just need to do plain inserts for mine and printed business ones for Mr F.
I used to have a Av.. chap but haven't seen him since Covid so needed to stock up on smellies for adding to Birthday and Christmas presents. Poor Mr F was carrying a heavy bag home.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
