New HSBC £150 account switch

According to
https://www.hsbc.co.uk/current-accounts/promotions/advance-promotion/
switch with "with at least 2 Direct Debits or standing orders" is required.
I wonder if "any" standing order (set up by myself, to my another bank account) on switched account works?. Does anyone have any experience?

I've done this in the past and qualified for an incentive from HSBC - just set up 2x standing orders to any external bank account(s) (can even be to the same account).

That sounds like s plan, heading over to read the T&C's.
  • The £1,750 per month minimum pay-in qualifying requirement seems to have been dropped for those newly applying for an HSBC Advance account via the MSE link.

Does anyone know if existing HSBC Advance account holders have also had (or will have) this requirement dropped?

If you literally retain no records of holding accounts (hard or soft copies of statements, correspondence, etc), then you could try your credit files and/or a subject access request....

Dropped already, effective 23 November 2021 along with some other changes.

I opened a HSBC adavance account in August 2015 and it is still active ( with the £1.75K going through each month)
Am I right in assuming I am not eligable for this offer?

You would be correct. You need to fully close the account and then wait until a switch incentive comes around that doesn't exclude you based on having previously held a HSBC account within a certain time frame. With the current offers excluding customers with accounts held since 2018, it might be a few years

It's my belief that HSB and First Direct never forget that you've had an account with them, Thanks for comfirming what I thought

I have a Co op and starling account, would this offer work if I was to set up 2 standing orders from my starling account into Co op and switched the starling account to HSBC?
