We have a terrier. One day she was sat by the back doors when a rat or mouse ran through the garden. She didn't even bat an eyelid!"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney2

Beautiful cat. She may as well have a 'do not disturb' sign up. Other methods of mouse catching may be requiredIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Cats were worshipped in ancient Egypt and have never got over it...4

We have not caught the M word yet. Haven't heard it, haven't seen it...nothing. It's too much to hope that it's gone back out isn't it, sigh? The cat has had a good look at the traps, but has shown no interest in looking for the thing that should be in one of them. Next door but one has a garden almost full of ivy so I assume that it's come from there. I had the back door open most of Friday afternoon while I was in the garden so it could have just trundled in through that. There was a good mouser cat over the back but I haven't seen him for a while so I assume that he and his human slave have moved away.
The HT and I went for a walk and a coffee this morning. Actually he went for a walk and I went for a hobble but no date for my other new knee yet so a hobble it will have to be. This afternoon
I've made a lemon drizzle cake for BF's Easter present. Dairy free chocolate is mostly also fun free whereas cake can usually be altered to suit so it's a much easier thing to do. I'll drop the cake off tomorrow (in case anyone was wondering if I was saving it until Sunday 😁)
Take care all of you 😊6 -
Here's a photo of Fatso "helping". She weighs 7 lbs by the way, we only call her fatso because she is always begging for human food and she loves doner meat if one of the teens has a kebab. The bowl is over the snap trap so that nobody traps a paw by accident.

You'll all be delighted to know that Mr M Mouse has been acquired and relocated. I've left the traps up in case it had any friends but I don't think it has. It came thundering out from under the chest of drawers in the hall straight towards me. I screamed because it was going so fast (I used to have a pet mouse that we found abandoned as a baby in a stable when my aunty had a horse so I'm not scared of them) and it ran back under the chest of drawers. I moved the humane trap complete with tempting snack (guess how I know that it likes maltesers) right in front of the chest of drawers and sat down to wait. It took 5 minutes and I heard a click.
The HT tried to show the cat so she'd know what to chase next time but the cat said it wasn't her department and went downstairs to check her dinner bowl. The HT and I put coats on and went for a drive to the local woods (far enough away so that it won't come back) where we rehoused the offender. The HT says he feels guilty because he didn't realise it was so small. I am just glad to be shot if it. I do have a photo but I won't subject you to it. It did look cute though 🐭5 -
Well done! Hope your cat engages more constructively with any further small visitors!

My cat brought us a live one in and plonked it in the living room in front of us all proud. Que the mouse scurrying away, me screeching at DH to grab it - him missing it and the bloody cat just watching. We couldn’t find it so was making plans to get traps the next day but by the time we came down in the morning the cat had earnt her stripes !Sealed pot challenge 822
