CCBC relating to 5 year old ticket

A very good morning to all, I just received this letter yesterday (30/11/21) though it's dated 24/11/21 relating to a PCN issued by UK parking control limited from ....December 2016..
I had been booked into a hotel through work and was parked in the hotel car park, I tried to ask reception why I had a ticket and she said my licence plate must not have been added to the list? And that I should take it up with the issuer (UK parking control limited)
That was back in 2016, and now I just received this CCBC letter claiming £316.56 !
I was assuming that I should either send back the dispute defense part of the letter or use their website to send the dispute.
Many thanks for the help

Assume nothing
Read the Fifth post then the second post in the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum in announcements , carefully
Complete the AOS online on MCOL , following the guide from the second post
Email a SAR to the DPO at UKPC attaching a copy of the claim form as proof of I D under the GDPR law to obtain all your data3 -
I actually don't think that UK parking control ltd were the issuing company, I think they took over the ticket this year it seems as I'd not heard anything until getting this CCBC.0

Not possible , only the original claimant can keep the alleged debt , they are forbidden from passing it on or selling it , but they can engage a 3rd party lawyer to do the donkey work !iad77 said:I actually don't think that UK parking control ltd were the issuing company, I think they took over the ticket this year it seems as I'd not heard anything until getting this CCBC.
So it can only be UKPC , always was , the SAR reply will prove it
Ps , do not make assumptions , stick to the facts , it's a legal case , facts matter , conjecture doesn't4 -
Thank you for the advice, will go through posts then complete the AOS. If I can get proof of the dates that I was staying from the hotel, along with my vehicle registration, would this be something I should do right away?Redx said:Assume nothing

I would , proof of patronage and landowner authority could be crucial in this , look up promissory estoppel , the landowner was jointly and severally liable and should not have fobbed you offiad77 said:

However , the evidence stage doesn't happen until the witness statement stage in several months time , before the hearing next spring or summer , but the SAR email should be done ASAP
Do the AOS online today too
Get those 2 tasks out of the way , then email a complaint to the hotel manager , or their CEO too3 -
You haven't said, but it sounds like you may have received a County Court Claim Form.
If that's so, please tell us the Issue Date on that form.2 -
When you do the AoS, do not put anything at all in the defence box. Absolutely nothing.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Done both the SAR and AoS this afternoon. I'll email the hotel tomorrow morning, 👍🏼Redx said:
