please help, car lease trying to charge me twice?

Hi everyone, really hope someone can help as i'm a bit flustered.

I took out a car lease at the start of October with Leasys, the car was delivered Oct 13th and I paid the initial payment on the 18th Oct, which covered the period of 06/10/21 - 05/11/21 and I also set up a DD for the monthly amount.

I got an email from them on the 27 Oct with an invoice for the period of 06/11/21 - 05/12/21 to be taken on or after 6/11/21.
On the 08/11/21 they took the DD from my bank account.
On the 26 Nov I got an email from them with an invoice for the period of 06/12/21 - 05/01/21 to be taken on or after 06/12/21.
That's not been collected yet as it's not Dec but i've checked and the DD is still set up and active.
However i've just now, 01 Dec received an email from them with an invoice for the period of 06/11/21 - 05/01/21 for double the monthly amount to be taken on or after 09/12/21.

To me this seems like they're not acknowledging that the DD was collected on the 8th November but i'm also worried they're going to take the normal amount on the 06/12 and then try to take double the amount again on the 09/12.

Can anyone offer any advice as getting an invoice for double what i was expecting to pay at 1am has left me quite shaken when my bank shows i've paid them.

It's honestly made me feel a little uneasy about continuing on but I don't think I can get out of the contract after seven weeks and i think if i want to cancel early i have to pay half the remaining lease which would be roughly 1.5 years worth, so quite a bit of money that i can't afford to pay in one go.

I've sent them an email basically saying what i've said above about having paid and the DD still being active etc.. but i'd really appreciate if anyone could give me any tips/reassurance/pointers on where i stand/how best i should proceed etc..?

    Good morning, 

    i have just spoken to them as I recieved the same message and was in a panic. Fortunately they have advised it’s an error with the system that’s sent out incorrect invoices. 
  • Fantastic, thank for the replies and i've just got an email from them saying the same. Big relief after getting an invoice like that at 1am!
  • Be aware that same error in the system may actually take the double payment. Make sure you check.
