Cancelled sky will I get a better deal

I have just come off the phone with sky retention and after 15 years and becoming a “Diamond” member the best they could was either stay as I am or take a new contract, and for this privilege my bill would go UP by £4 and on a 18 month contract!!! Now I’m not the best negotiator but I’m fairly sure when you try and keep a loyal customer you’d see the price maybe go down?? The lady kept saying it’s a shame as you’ve been with us 15 years🤦♂️
