Anyone used Harts of Stur?

I have just used Harts by internet as I was unable to get what I wanted locally. Best prices I found, ordered Sunday pm arrived Tuesday morning. I had to post this as I found it when looking for feedback and they are excellent!:T0

does it have a security certificate?
does it display a landline number and/or a 'real' address
who is the site registered to? check on whois.com and this will tell you WHERE it is registered also which will either reassure or arouse suspicion
check with companies house to see if it is registered
google the company for reviews
if all else fails buy what you want from a company you have heard of and have a track record with.
i think Martin could do well to have a campaign about raising awareness of web shopping safety as many people have got their fingers burnt yet for other people all these checks are second nature.Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

Hey, Harts are really good. Good prices, excellent customer service, and very quick delivery.
I bought a set of pans and 2 knives a while back, but they and Amazon are my 1st stop for kitchen stuff.0 -
I bought my Magimix from them - the cheapest deal available AND free postage so I would reccommend them without hesitation.0

I've used them several times. They are usually very competitive on price and stock very good quality products. I have had occasion to contact them about a faulty item and was totally impressed by their no quibble attitude - superb!0

Yes I have used them to buy something for my son - very good. Here dead we lie because we did not choose

Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

I go into Stur most weeks. As well as kitchen items, Harts do hardware and some outdoor clothing (hats, shoes, boots, work-wear type stuff). I often buy there and can get a better deal than buying from 'unknown' Amazon/eBay traders (especially when taking P&P into account).
It's quite common for them to have odds and ends that aren't easily available elsewhere in North Dorset.
Highly recommended. The sort of place you walk into and think "This place has a great atmosphere. Happy customers and happy staff. I wouldn't mind working here."
In fact, I was just Googling their 'phone number, to find out if they have something in stock, when I found this thread.0 -
I live locally to Harts and they are a very reliable bunch and good products. The shop has a very extensive range from single bolts or nuts to clothes, shoes, fab cookery range and nothing to too much trouble.0

I just wanted to post a positive review for this small family business seeing as it's mainly new users (easily suspecting of shilling, whether they are or not). Bought a Le Creuset roasting pan (with free rack) from them on Sunday. Delivered this morning (Tuesday). They were the cheapest I could find online, and with a free rack, and I'm very happy with the delivery time.0

I have used Harts a few times, and never had any problems. They have a good reputation AFAIK.0
