In the news articles seen on the forum about this case there is never any mention of assistance given by a third party let alone an internet forum.A vast amount of assistance was given by you handful of experts particularly C-m who wrote blistering bespoke pieces in preparation for the court case. Are there some sort of rules/regulations forbidding the mention of internet forum assistance?.5

Yep it was a great outcome! Nice to see it posted again.
Odd that the newspapers didn't put in the title of the article that he got £1000. Surely that's the story!
Myself and @ParkingMad helped the Motorist with his counterclaim. We knew VCS had forgotten to defend it and that he'd pushed for judgment in his counterclaim earlier, which was finally granted in the Spring when he got robust about it (how many chances were VCS given to defend the counterclaim?!). The courts are useless at allowing counterclaims and he really had to insist on a default judgment, it was like getting blood out of a stone but he got it, pre-hearing.
That then made his hearing easier, because he already had judgment and it was just a matter of quantum, and also kicking out the meritless claim, and the Judge soon obliged.

The reporter spoke to me on the phone, I gave him lots of information that didn't make it into the article, I did specifically mention MSE forums, told him I wanted it publishing so as to help anyone else suffering at the hands of these companies.3 -
Journalists dumb things down.
Did you see me and @bargepole of this forum parish, on TV this week? My input was carefully worded but the programme was pretty good overall:

Yes I saw that, recorded it and saved to DVD, I watched it again today.
I thought you were really good, and Bargepole, but I got really annoyed when Helen Dolphin was being portrayed as the guardian of disabled motorists, she is NO SUCH THING!2 -
I commented as such in the 'Parking: The Big Con?' thread. I think we should advise any genuine disabled bay motorists with parking charge issues to contact her in future.ellaro9 said:Yes I saw that, recorded it and saved to DVD, I watched it again today.

I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
