Used Audi - Can I negotiate ?

There's nothing stopping you trying but it's probably worth doing a few calculations first as they might wrap up a discount a slightly different way, say in the trade in value of your old car or offer incentives to buy the car as is.
They might not be interested in coughing up for new tyres if the ones on it are fine, but you could try and claw the cost of them back by pushing them on the trade in value of your old car.
They might not be interested in giving you more for your trade in but might be tempted to offer a few free services.
All you can do is ask, but be polite and tell them what you want to achieve.1 -
Or as has been suggested sell your existing car separately as given the age/description it sounds like it won't be one they will do anything with other than scrap it.1

spaniel101 said:I have seen a 2017 car I am interested in purchasing (cash) directly from Audi Used (a different town), MOT recently expired, 55,000 miles, 190bhp.
I have also seen the same 2017 car at a Traders, albeit 140bhp, 40,000 miles, 10 months MOT. Both immaculate. £500 less with Audi Used.
I would prefer to purchase the one from Audi Used.
I am trading in my 'very' old Audi for scrappage.
Can I negotiate with Audi Used:
a) To complete MOT (due by Jan 22)
b) 4 X Michelin tyres
There is also the question of GAP Insurance, which ordinarily I wouldn't purchase (from them at least) which I could use as elbow maybe?
Is this possible or do 'Audi Used' set the price as is ?
(just wanted thoughts before I discuss with them)
TIA.
Cash sale, so no finance commission
No trade in that they can make money on by reselling or with decent profit to the trade.
Yes, to the MOT - should sold with a year
But why would they change a full set of tyres just because you prefer a different brand?
I cant imagine you'll get far with negotiations.

Many thanks for all the very helpful advice.
Following (many) discussions with Audi. You were all quite right, we ended up keeping my car out of the deal. They indeed don't take 'scrap' and thus willing to offer £100 for my car, so have opted to sell it to a scrap dealer privately (most recent quote £284).
As suggested, they were not interested in swapping the tyres out, following valet, MOT and further inspection, they are actually fine with plenty tred. Allowing for discussions around Finance, I would save £200 on the price, which included in addition to below, 1 major service and 1 minor service (worth £800 in their eyes).
They were willing to give the comparable discount on the RTI GAP Insurance (to that of my recent quote including discount with 'ALA') saving almost two thirds of this cost. I also have a local mechanic in my village with whom I've built up years of trust with so I wasn't too fussed about ultimately lossing the 1 major/ 1 minor service attached to the Finance deal.
All things considered, I decided to proceed with the cash purchase with the following included:
12 months MOT including cover
12 months warranty
12 months Road Side Assistance
Key cover
SytnerDrive
RTI GAP
Happy christmas to myself, with hopefully, god willing, many many years of driving to follow!
Thanks again all.

All Approved Used Audis come with 12 months warranty / 12 months roadside assistance.
It feels fairly typical of the market out there at the moment. Stock is hard to get and easily sold, so they're not feeling any need to discount to any great extent.1 -
Indeed all-in, although we all know GAP is what it is when you pay for it, thus on the invoice they have discounted the car £280. Swings and roundabouts. £30 fuel also thrown in which I assume is also standard for any approved new/used.
Ultimately, Im happy with the car and the deal, prior to any further price increases are thrust upon us.2
