    That's is 1100 units in 22 days - that's 50 units a day - which is EXCESSIVE.

Yikes, that's like a 2 kW continuous load

Have you turned an emersion heater on by mistake?

Our current Elec usage (with Gas CH) is about 5kwh per day, at the moment.
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

This is still excessive - well over 12,000 units a year. More typical for  a 3 bed gas heated is 3,000

The normal is 250 a month so we can assume normal lights, kettle, washing etc . That means there is something taking 750 a  month and that's about 1kW on solidly 24/7. I still suspect your fish

In round figures a fish tank heater should be 1 watt per litre. e.g. 200 watts for a 200 litre tank.

    A large fish tank 100cm x50cm x40cm is 200 litres.

You can get very large tanks with special reinforced glass that are 500 litres.

However presumably the tank is kept in a living room so the heater will be on a thermostat and an average temperature for tropical fish is 25C - sometimes 28C for certain species. So heater would need keep the water no more than 10C above room temperature.

If it was a kW running 24/7 then the poor fish would need battering and adding to a plate of chips in no time!
