Above average Elec usage
                    Hello,
I'm on prepay smart Electricity with Bulb and my daily cost has gone from £5 per day (18 months ago) to £14 per day yesterday.
I know the weather has turned and prices are high, but it seems like i'm wasting energy somewhere. Its a 1930's 3 bed semi, gas CH, tumble dryer and washing machine used once every day. Pretty standard stuff.
Anyone else on bulb prepay have their daily spend to compare to? Any tips on what I should look for that could be draining energy?
Any help appreciated

Please forget £'s - have you some actual meter reads ?(in kWh) What is the unit rate in p/kWh ?
Even £5 a day is suggesting a very high consumption (30+ kWh / day which is treble average) - do you have an electric shower ? using panel or fan heaters ? big freezers ? electric cooking ?
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1

            Thanks for the reply.
Just took a manual meter reading of 23444 - 29/11.
Last reading on the app was smart 22358 - 07/11.
 Electric oven/hob that's it really.0

            That's is 1100 units in 22 days - that's 50 units a day - which is EXCESSIVE.
Daft question but have you a garden pump ? Heaters in a greenhouse ? Fish tanks ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1

            No greenhouse or pumps.
Do have an aquarium, but nothing excessive.
I have talked on other forums with fish keepers and even those with huge aquariums don't pay as much as me.0

It's going to be a bit of an approximation but can you read your meters say now and again 2 hours later then do the same exercise with the aquarium pumps/lights/heaters off ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1

            Those readings must be suspect!2

Take great care when reading the meters - look for a decimal point !
When were the meters put in ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

As everyone else has said, 1100 units in 22 days is massive. That's enough for 3-4 months, not 3 weeks.
