What would you do with house buyer

the fact that she did not start searches yet is a big red flag. I would give her a week max to get everything sorted and start the searches. If she doesn't then go back on the market. You could even take it off for a bit, change EAs and go fresh.0

Would the estate agent not expect payment having introduced a procedable (albeit slow) buyer if the vendor pulls out, particularly if they engage a different agent?

Exactly, I hope the OP is fully prepared to reduce the price?lookstraightahead said:
Why do you think it's over the top for her to get someone to investigate leaning chimneys and damp? The next person will possibly have a proper full survey which will potentially reveal more issues. I'm surprised she only had a homebuyers report for a house 100 years old.Gam2015 said:So I accepted an offer on my home in mid October she offered 2k over the asking price to take it off the market so nobody else could view it which I agreed to. The buyer had a survey about a week and half back. Now the home buyers report has picked up some jobs and she is panicking a bit. It’s a 2 bed semi built in about 1930’s. The survey is showing small traces of damp in lower walls and chimney is leaning apparently 🙄 she is wanting to come round with a builder maybe next week. It’s all dragging on a bit could i pull the plug and find someone else to buy it? I’ve purchased another property which will probably complete in January. Just glad I’m not buying in a chain. Thoughts appreciated on this0
