At this point you need to wait for the final Avro bill, which shouldn't be long now.cheapskate1983 said:Thats quite some allegation. Here is some proof to show they owe me money.0 -

If you log in it should show you that you have not been issued a final bill yet.
My advice to anyone is don't start your account until the transfer is complete. As you can see i've still not setup my DD or submitted readings until I get my credit back.
I have had no hassle from them yet.

How did Octopus inform you that you owe them money if you haven't had your final bill from Avro or any bills from Octopus?cheapskate1983 said:
haven't had any.youravinalarrrf said:The obvious question is have you had your final bill yet?Is it available to download from https://www.avroenergy.co.uk/ or https://assets.avroenergy.co.uk/Default.aspx or is it available on your Octopus Dashboard?1 -
As far as I can see, nowhere have you said that you have regularly submitted meter readings or that you were on a Smart Meter that was viable. Just paying a DD does not necessarily mean that you have paid entirely for the gas/electricity used.cheapskate1983 said:
Thats quite some allegation. Here is some proof to show they owe me money.QrizB said:cheapskate1983 said:It is my understanding that when a company purchases the bankruptcy debt of another company it is also liable to previous liquidity providers (customers). That, however, isn't what has happened here, which rather undermines the rest of your argument. Octopus hasn't purchased anything from Avro. You really need to read up on the Supplier of Last Resort process.cheapskate1983 said:Unfortunate for me, I'm one of the customers who had credit with AVRO Energy to the sum of £400+. Despite having proof Octopus energy claim that I have zero credit and claim I owe them money. If you were an AVRO customer and haven't changed supplier, you are now an Octopus customer. You have a contract with Octopus and are liable for the cost of energy supplied by them.
Yes, they can take you to court if you don't pay your bills and owe them money. Have they threatened to do so, it seems pretty early for that? Or are you just making noise on the forum for the sake of it?cheapskate1983 said:Can Octopus force me through the courts to pay them? Or can I mount a reasonable defence and show that Octopus Energy are in the wrong? And they actually owe me money.

Why all the noise then. Somebody has to be last in the transfer process.cheapskate1983 said:
