Afternoon, hugs if you need one.
Its calm after a very wild day yesterday, it has just started to snow!! Brilliant - not.
The only things I iron these days are DB's shirts and a couple of my 'best' tops....the rest gets folded up and put away.
Rolled shoulder of lamb for tonight, have rested it over night in red wine as usual, and added some garlic slices to the butter, use the marinade for the gravy.
I have turned the heating up slightly, and put a fleece on, the house is warmer since I put the roll in front of the front door, the draught that comes in make the hall cold.10 -

Load of rubbish imo. TA the amount of running around you do I doubt ironing would make a blind bit of difference
Well as anticipated the snow turned to drizzle so no snowmen or snow angels here
DP1 Hope your water is back on soon if not open the wine
prepareathome Don't be impressed an elderly tortoise would crack through it quicker but I'm getting there
Happy birthday to Miss Ruby xx

Miss Ruby - Happy Birthday.
Cold here - wrapped up well to go to Church. Lots of Christmas jumpers there as first Sunday of Advent.
Yds popped by with some repairs/alterations for me to do by Thursday.
Dgd called by on her way home from weekend job. She is meant to be going on placement to South Africa in January!
Finished some hand warmers for Christmas gifts.

Evening everyone,
Late posting as we’ve been out to Brighton today with DSis, BIL and DD who is at uni there. The Christmas market was disappointing - 99% food and drink rather than the crafts I was hoping for ☹️So sorry to hear of the damage and lack of electricity/water folks are experiencing due to the storm. Hope things improve soon and everyone remains safe and warm.

I had a similar disappointment with the Christmas market yesterday. It was a giant pub and takeaway with no craft or gift stalls, barely a mention of Christmas, and groups of overexcited teenagers shoving each other.
It was crowded, so obviously it suits a lot of people, but I wonder where to find the more traditional type?3
