Small car recommendations for osteoarthritis sufferer.

My wife currently has a Kia Picanto, which suites her usage perfectly.

Unfortunately she has osteoarthritis in her knees and now finds it a struggle getting in and out.

She doesn't want anything bigger, just something a bit higher. She has less problems with my Ford Grand C Max but it is much too big for her and she hates driving it.

Any recommendations of a small city type car with a higher position (automatic would also be a bonus)?

Thanks.

If you want something like a C-Max, but smaller, what about a B-Max?

How about a Ford Ecosport small SUV.....neighbour has had a one for 2 years(mobility scheme) she suffers with it too and told me it was the best she had ever had for getting in and out as she doesn't step down in it to seat.

Am sure there are many used ones at Ford dealers and maybe automatic.

If she can accommodate an EV, the Zoe is a good shout.

It sits relatively high due to the batteries, but still a nice size car to park around car. Also got a great tight turning circle.

Incredibly nice to drive to boot. No gears, instant torque for hills and the regen breaking means you can do one pedal driving for most of your journey.

If it will be a second car try a Smart for2, big enough for 2 and shopping, turns on a sixpence very safe, economical and nippy.  We are on our 4th and the latest ones are really good.
We also have a Cmax to use if we need more space. Think that is the best combination of cars for us.

Suzuki Ignis (2016 or later) would seem ideal.

I can put forward Hyundai I10 (I deeply apologise). I had the Amica (prior model), nothing flash but gine for town driving.
I got it because I had neck issues at the time and had no problem getting in and out (I'm 6 ft 2). It is not a pretty car though (if that sort of thing bothers you)
May you find your sister soon Helli.
    Sleep well.

It seems like pretty much any "crossover" (small SUV) type of vehicle would suit, perhaps even a Dacia Sandero Stepway. Just pick one with the features you want (at the price you can accept) ... and make sure she test drives a few. :)

Yes, I agree, but was after suggestions for something around the Picanto size, rather than going up to crossover size, of which there are many. We are looking at the Sandero and similar, all the way up to Kia Nero.

The closest seems to be the Suzuki Ignis which looks to fit the bill perfectly (thanks jimbo6977), which we are going to look at the weekend and looking at prices would be as well to buy new.

    Thanks all for the suggestions.
