Short term car options
My daughter is coming home to work for two months before going off travelling She will have a 30 mile commute each way, half motorway and half A roads. Would people know if there is short term leases available for 2 months, maybe for used cars? For sure there is car hire, Any other alternatives? We are based in Mid Essex

Many short term options, such as ApexCarRental. Not recommending them as I never used them, just advising of their existence. There are other services also.1

Thanks for the reply. Apex seems to focus on bigger cars / vans.
Ideally we are looking for a small B Class car. Not looking for a new one. I suspect we may struggle as mileage will be on the high side.0 -
Another option is to buy an older car and sell it afterwards. Might be more hassle but could work out cheaper than renting over that time.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0

With WeBuyAnyCar.com even selling it once she is done with it should be quite easy.jimjames said:Another option is to buy an older car and sell it afterwards. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0 -
Check out ONTO.
Was a thread about them not long ago. New car on a monthly lease.Life in the slow lane1 -
Have been looking for a car to buy on a daily basis. Looking at the cost of hire for three months is around £1200. Working with that budget, finding a car that passes 'due diligence' to reduce risk are few and far between and sell within hours. Then there is the consideration of such a car on a Motorway in winter. Maybe overthinking this.0

This looks very interesting! Effectively includes 'fuel' cost as well.born_again said:Check out ONTO.

Main family car is an EV. So we have a charge point at home.
How does the charging work?1 -
I would read the google reviews first and possibly other review sites.0

They do Fiesta, Focus, Golf, Polo. They are not really large cars. Also BMW 1 series. You may need to call them if not listed on the website.Essex_Jim said:Thanks for the reply. Apex seems to focus on bigger cars / vans.
