Hello everyone.
I too have been thinking a lot about Dumpling - she seemed such a lovely lady. I hope one of her family looks on here one day to see just how highly thought of she was by us all.
Terrible storm here from about 4pm yesterday - haven't had a lot of sleep for the noise and because little one had to come in with me as she was so scared of the wind. All of my rather long fence at the side of the house has blown down, the shed is wonky with no doors and most of the felt off the roof, sandpit has disappeared but sand everywhere, a big plastic storage box has gone....looks a right mess! At the bottom of my garden is a big field- it's now littered with fence panels, trampolines and all sorts.
The building contractors who work for the housing association were up on the estate earlier, making things safe and said it will be fixed as soon as they can. Oh, and my Sky dish is broken too - I rang to arrange a repair and ended up getting a new box and more channels and only paying £1 a month more...I'm not sure how! Have to wait 3 weeks for an engineer though, but I have a chromecast thingy in my TV and my laptop so I'll be fine.
The wind has dropped a little so hopefully it will be a quieter night tonight. Don't know what's for tea as my Tesco shopping as been cancelled cos of the weather as there's so many trees down, but I'll find something in the freezer. Hopefully I can get a new delivery slot booked.
Well I'm going to make a cuppa - little one is asleep - fingers crossed I get half an hour!
Take care everyone

I can’t stop thinking of Dumpling too. I hope her family get to read these messages and realise how much she was loved on here. My heart goes out to them all.5
