Rearranged flight

Hi all,
I am not a frequent traveller and am a bit in the dark.
We are flying in April and EasyJet have just rearranged our flights. We *were* flying from Luton (Half an hours’ drive)… now it’s from Gatwick. (70 mins)
We were due in at the (admittedly obnoxious) time of 23:35; now it’s 1:35, and being over an hour further away with 4 children under 9 in tow, not ideal. We are considering an overnight at Gatwick after we land.

Do we have any recourse over the additional expenses we absolutely will incur (disregarding the possible hotel, but we are inclined to book that). Obviously, we booked Luton due to the proximity!
Thank you
Thank you

No I am afraid not. They have given sufficient notice of the change. You however do have the right to a refund if you decide the LGW flight is not suitable.
Is there another option ex LTN with another airline, or an alternative from STN?1 -
We have booked via love holidays. I think we are able to say the flights are unsuitable but I’m not sure what the alternatives are.My TV is broken!

Slightly different situation then and it sounds like you have more than just EasyJet flights. You need to deal with LoveHolidays and your options will be in line with the terms and conditions you agreed to when you booked with them. They may class London Gatwick and London Luton as being ‘London’ and class either departure point as the same. If you have a package travel arrangement LH may also offer up other options ex LTN (but don’t hold your breath on that).1

There are some FAQ’s on the LH site which you might wish to review.
